Food manufacturer Peacock Engineering has acquired food packaging company L&L Foods, under an agreement signed between the companies earlier this month.

Based in California, L&L Foods provides single-serve/portion-control packages of food products including prepared salads.

L&L Foods, a former portfolio company of CIC Partners, also offers formulations, sourcing and packaging capabilities to several food brands.

It offers form, fill, and seal volumetric and auger packaging services; and wrapping packaging services for various products including almonds, walnuts, pecans, pepitas, soynuts, and sunflower seeds; tortilla chips and chow mein noodles; spice blends; dried cherries, pineapple, raisins, cranberries, and golden raisins.

As per the agreed terms, both the companies will continue to operate as usual and will work closely to maintain their customer service as they come together.

The financial terms of the acquisition are not disclosed.
