FBR Staff Writer Published 12 March 2014

Anchor Packaging, a US-based food packaging products provider, has added new Culinary Squares separate bases and lids to its Culinary Basics and Culinary Classics lines of polypropylene packages.

Available in single and three-compartment black PP bases with separate anti-fog PP lids, the 8.5" squares are claimed to offer increased value to the operator, while improve while controlling costs.

Compared to foam clamshells, the new line helps maximize performance and minimize cost, the company noted.

Made with renewable mineral additives to reduce the use petroleum based resin up to 40%, the bases join the existing Anchor's Nature's Best range of sustainable products.

Culinary Squares come in 300 per case packages separately as well as in three combo packs of 150 bases and lids. The black PP bases can withstand temperatures up to 230°F.

Developed as part of each Culinary Series offering, the polypropylene lids help keep food visible and avoid errors across the supply chain.

Anchor stated that all the three lines are suitable for hot foods, chilled ready-to-heat meals in the microwave, and for cold food applications.
